FEBRAZ (Brazilian Federation of Alzheimer's Associations) aims to ensure that Alzheimer's and other dementias are prioritized in public health and receive resources for advancing studies and research. Leste was invited to create the script, illustrate, and animate the video as part of the "Portraits of Care" survey, focusing on caregivers of people with Alzheimer's, depicting families' daily lives, the disease's implications, and possible solutions. By following Pedro and his father, Clara and her wife, and Ana and her grandmother, caregivers can identify, feel welcomed, and represented. During script creation, we received support from FEBRAZ to use correct terminology and maintain inclusivity and respectfulness. The story's aesthetic seeks to address the issue with lightness, positivity, and seriousness, prioritizing vibrant colors, confident characters, and portraying the elderly as active, beloved, and participative individuals, avoiding stereotypes.
